My mom once got a letter from Filene's Basement corporate stating that since she purchased $2,000 worth of merchandise in a year, and returned $1,000 of it, she was now considered a bad credit risk and they were canceling her card. One would think that a merchant would be thrilled to net $1,000 in sales (ah, publishing math) from a customer, but no, the Basement was not. I still laugh about that one, but alas, she does not.
